We generally preserve our products for 3-6 months.  We advise our customer to finish the products in 3 months. 

Our team freshly mixes our products, and therefore, the expiry dates of our personalized formulas are determined through stability testing. It is not recommended to use the products after the expiry date, as we cannot ensure the safety or effectiveness of the ingredients.

Our products are always vegan and cruelty-free. We strive to be responsibly sourced in as many natural and organic ingredients for the best benefit of the skin.

Organic products are very potent and rich in antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids. This is also the very reason we are careful not to over-process our ingredients so as not to take away the nutrients and healing properties that your skin will benefit from.

However, not all raw materials are made equal and as such, the finished products may differ in scent, appearance, texture, feel, and color because we do not incorporate any synthetic chemicals, artificial scents, or color in our products. 

Once you switch from a non-organic range to a certified organic one, your skin will need to adjust and process any remaining chemicals left from your old skincare. Your body will naturally detoxify or heal itself by getting rid of these chemicals or toxins.

This process is sometimes called purging. These flare-ups usually have a shorter lifespan than your usual breakouts. If irritation and what looks like skin purging continues past the 6-8 week mark of using the product, it may be worthwhile to see a professional about your skin. Your skin may not be reacting well to the product. What may have initially seemed like purging may actually be a breakout in reaction to the product.

It takes between 4-6 weeks for the skin to become acclimated to new skincare products, and only then can you start to see results. Initially, you may notice a negative effect on your skin, such as dryness, redness, and spots. This is part of the skin's natural purging process and is completely normal.

We always recommend doing patch testing before using any skin care products.  

How to Patch-Test a Product:

1. Use a Clear Patch of Skin. Choose an accessible and clear patch of skin to test whatever the product is. 
2. Wash the Area First. Wash and clean the patch of skin you're going to use first.
3. Apply a Small Amount to the Skin.
4. Wait for 24 Hours.

All Karbini products are free from parabens, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, and Sodium Laureth Sulphate.  Instead, we use natural preservatives and green surfactants which do not irritate our skin.

The preservative is necessary for hydrous products in order to keep them free from harmful bacteria that might irritate our skin.  We use natural preservatives and restrict them to a minimal level which is sufficient to maintain the product's reasonable shelf life.

Sure, you can continue your make-up routine after natural skin care products.  After using natural skin care products, your skin condition will become more moisturized which should be even better for make-up application.

Yes, and we use therapeutic grade essential oil in our products.  Essential oils we used are ideal for skin care since they heal, vitalize the tissue, stimulate the renewal of the cells, cleanse and rejuvenate the skin, promote the metabolism, prevent or soothe irritations and infections, have antiseptic effects, and guarantee the stability of the cosmetics in a natural way.  

Essential oils also act upon mood and various body functions through the sense of smell and influence our spirit and physical well-being.  These effects of the oils make them into holistic treatment and grooming substances.

We carefully blend the essential oils into your skincare products according to their dermal limit to create the best result for your skin.

The colour in our products does not come from synthetic colourants. Instead, the colouring comes from native oils and plant extracts full of natural colourants, which are usually removed by mainstream formulators and chemists.

The natural and inherent colour of a product is proof of its authenticity. The green avocado oil, the orange of rosehip seed oil or the purple of elderberry extract are all signs that your ingredients are loaded with precious skincare ingredients such as beta-carotene or polyphenols. By using different proportions of these natural ingredients, the colour varies.

Basically, we have 3 kinds of scents: Fruity and Citrusy, Floral and Sweety, Woody and Earthy.  Thanks to the beautiful aroma of essential oils, your skin can products are blended accordingly to your skin type and preference.  

During pregnancy, some essential oils could not be used in high doses.  Please do let us know your stage of pregnancy so that we can adjust our formula and blending.

There are several internal and external causes that can weaken or destroy the skin barrier. As we age, our ability to synthesize natural oils and lipids is decreased. Those lipids and oils are the cement that holds the skin cells and proteins together. In addition, our skin becomes naturally dry and flaky as we age, which can make the skin “leaky.”

This is a normal, short-term condition where the skin will rid itself of underlying oil, bacteria, or dirt when you start a new skincare routine or you incorporate new products into your current regimen, you may experience breakouts or skin flaking.

Since the product you are using is increasing the rate of skin cell turnover, all the gunk will inevitably rise to the surface of your pores quickly. New acne may make you question whether or not to stop using a product. Purging is a necessary process that your skin must go through to adjust to new skincare products. There is a method to all the madness that may be occurring on your face.

Unlike breakouts, purging is the first sign of a product that will benefit your skin long-term. Rather than being a reaction to a product, purging is an indication that the product is speeding up the process of skin cell turnover.

Again, in comparison to the red irritated pimples of breakouts, purging takes form in blackheads and flesh-coloured bumps on the skin. Additionally, unlike breakouts that occur in new areas of the face, purging often occurs in areas where acne pops up frequently. Skin purging also appears and disappears quicker than breakouts. Continuing use of a product when purging occurs increases the frequency of that skin cell turnover cycle and helps improve the texture of your skin in the long term.

The good news is that this annoying side effect is temporary. How long purging lasts depends on the individual, but on average, it lasts about a month. This is also the amount of time it takes for your new skin to come through at the end of a skin cell turnover cycle. If at the 4-6 weeks mark you do not see that your skin is starting to improve, this might be a time to either stop using the product or change the formula.

Staying hydrated and moisturized can help you tolerate the purging process. You should not further agitate your face by picking or touching your skin. Be sure to avoid using products that could further dry your skin or irritate the temporary purging like exfoliants.
